Is It Correct to Write about Morals in Your Moral Essay?
Words are often deceptive. This is the case with the moral essay. The main thing you should remember is that a moral essay should not be about morals.
Instead, a moral essay is an essay on manners, on how people should behave, on how they should treat each other to make the society better. A moral essay is your chance to change the world or at least show that you want to do this.
How to be persuasive in your moral essay?
In any moral essay the author attempts to describe which behavior and attitudes are able to lead to a just society. In your moral essay, you should try to turn attention to as many virtues as possible.
What is even more important, your essay should prove why having these virtues is necessary. Generally, you may raise any ethical subjects in your moral essay. Think about the things that are vital for a just society and then present these things in writing. You may discuss the following virtues in your moral essay:
- Loyalty. Loyalty is crucial for a just society. A moral essay on loyalty should exemplify what a society would be like if no loyal people lived in it. Would such a society stand a chance for existence?
- Сompassion. Do you imagine this world without compassion? Think about the aftermath if all the compassion was gone from the world. Would people continue helping each other? Would there be any doctors to save human lives? Express your concerns in your moral essay.
- Courage. How important do you think this virtue may be? We live in the world where there are no more knights and duels. Yet, somehow, women still look for courage in men. Why does this happen?
Remember to exemplify your ideas with real-life situations. Otherwise, no one will be believe you!
